resources

The following books are resources I use in my own science writing and to review botanical terminology and grammar. I've even used one of these books in a science communication course that I lectured. Perhaps you'll find them useful, too! Read below each book to learn more.

writing for science by goldbort

I used Writing for Science as a textbook for the science communication course that I taught at Vilnius University in Vilnius, Lithuania. It is an excellent guide to science writing, particularly if you are new to formatting academic articles.

Plant identification terminology

This is an excellent illustrated guide-cum-dictionary that defines helpful botanical with the aid of images. I consider this book necessary for any botanist.

the elements of style

This tiny book is a clearly written guide to grammar and style. I'd highly suggest it if you need to review any grammar and would like it explained simply.
